Seaside weekend break
You'll spend an amazing weekend at the Slovenian seaside and at the same time visit the Slovenian capital and the Škocjan caves.
Wonderful holidays in the North Adriatic on the Slovenian seaside with several accessible beaches available to the visitors. During your stay in Slovenia you'll also visit our capital Ljubljana, UNESCO protected Škocjan caves and Piran, also nicknamed the Slovenian Venice.
Squeezed between Italy and Croatia, the Slovenian coast is full of colorful Italian-style fishing villages, olive groves and clean, clear water. It’s an idyllic place for vacations for people with disabilities, where you can enjoy a slice of Mediterranean sunshine. You can choose a hotel for your holidays in Portorož, Izola or Strunjan from our 100% accessible hotels selection.
Check out our promotional video on this link.
We will pick you up from Ljubljana airport and transfer you to a hotel on the Slovenian coast. We will have guided tour of Piran. The town of Piran is one of the best preserved medieval towns on the Adriatic coast. Its beautiful setting on a peninsula, narrow cobbled lanes, a church and fortress high above the town. After a visit to the town you will be based in a hotel in Portorož, Strunjan or Izola just a few steps away from the warm Adriatic Sea.
Days off for swimming and enjoying the Mediterranean climate.
A full day trip to the Škocjan caves and Ljubljana. Our first stop will be the Škocjan caves, the only natural beauty in Slovenia that is listed on the UNESCO world heritage list. As the cave is protected it’s unfortunately not possible to visit it in a wheelchair. Instead of that we can take part in a virtual 4-D tour of the cave, which is not far away from the real pathway (believe us, we were scared of the high walls and deep falls a couple of times…). From here we will drive to the Slovenian capital city Ljubljana. On arrival, we will take some time for lunch and then start a guided tour of the city which in 2015 was given the Bronze Access City Award and a 2018 Silver Access City Award. We will take a look around the city center that was highly denoted by the Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik and then take the funicular ride to Ljubljana castle. After seeing all the important parts of the city center and after having a compulsory coffee (Slovenians just love coffee drinking, in fact we drink much more of it than our neighbors the Italians) we will drive back to the hotel.
Transfer to Ljubljana airport and departure.
Days off for swimming and sunbathing.
High season June – September: + 350 EUR per room
For larger groups contact us for exact offer.
On all our tours we have a local guide that takes care of the tour programme. If you wish somebody for personal assistance that will accompany and help you 24 hours a day, we can provide you an assistant. Price for personal assistance is 150 EUR per day plus cost of the tour.
Unfotunatelly not. Para-alpine skiing is suitable for paraplegics and all those that have enough strength in the arms. E.g. everybody who is able to move from a wheelchair to a seat (or bed) or getting up from the ground (yes, this happens while skiing :) by himself is able to do para-alpine skiing. Skiing is also possible for people with visual impairment.
“All the daytrips were very good. The day in the Alps was fantastic, with stunning views. Petra and Urban are both very kind. And the eurokey that you lent us solved the issue of toilets. I would like that in our travels we find more agencies like yours that will make it easier for us to enjoy the trip. It is not always easy to find transport adapted to our needs or agencies that answer so quickly to all our questions.
Thank you so much for everything.
“We are a group of 4 friends from Finland and spent a week in Slovenia: Bled, Portoroz and Ljubljana. 2 of us use electric wheelchairs so we booked all the transfers and one day tour from NoLimits Tours. Everything worked perfectly! Service was really good before we arrived and we got answers to our questions very quickly. Our driver was really good and spoke good English. The car was big enough for 2 electric wheelchairs. Daytour to Koper and Piran was excellent and our guide Danijel was very good. Everything really was 100 % accessible and I can truly recommend for everybody!
