Day trip to Slovenian seaside
Wheelchair friendly day trip to the Slovenian Adriatic coast.
Wheelchair accessible day trip to one of the most popular European tourist destinations - Venice. Floating city or the city of canals was the place from which the Doge's of Venice were ruling their vast possesions through-out Adriatic and Meditteranian for more than 500 years.
Venice is one of the most popular destinations in Europe and during the tourist season it is visited by more than 40.000 people every day! Its proximity to Slovenia, its rich history and accessibility for wheelchair users makes it a perfect destination for a one day trip.
Early in the morning we will leave Ljubljana and proceed to Venice, which is 240km away from the Slovenian capital. On the way to Venice we will pass by the cities of Gorizia and Palmanova, a famous Italian shopping destination. After 2,5h ride we will park our minivan at Tronchetto parking and get on board a special accessible Venice water bus – called Vaporetto by the locals.
The ride from Tronchetto to the main square in Venice – Saint Marco’s square takes about 45 minutes. When we arrive to the Old part of the town you’ll be briefed about the rich history of the Venice republic which was a regional power in the Mediterranean for several centuries. We’ll also take a look inside the Doge’s palace, where the rulers of Venice republic were residing, and the 11th century St Mark’s Basilica, which are both accessible for wheelchair users.
Italian cuisine is one of the best in the World and after the end of sightseeing we’ll have a lunch where you’ll have the chance of trying some of the culinary delicacies. After the meal you’ll some free time for coffee and to get some souvenirs. In late afternoon transfer back to Ljubljana.
For larger groups contact us for exact offer.
All the hotels, sights and activities are personally checked by our employee Anže, who is a wheelchair user since 2008.
We currently own seven Renault Master 8-seat minivans, that are all equiped with wheelchair ramps and safety belts for wheelchair users.
“Miha and Danijel, Greetings from Frankfurt! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my brief stay in Ljubljana absolutely incredible.
“Hi Danijel, Thank you! It was great to meet the team, and we really enjoyed our tours and our interactions with you, Miha, and Urban. All the best, Shaina
“All the daytrips were very good. The day in the Alps was fantastic, with stunning views. Petra and Urban are both very kind. And the eurokey that you lent us solved the issue of toilets. I would like that in our travels we find more agencies like yours that will make it easier for us to enjoy the trip. It is not always easy to find transport adapted to our needs or agencies that answer so quickly to all our questions.
Thank you so much for everything.
