Slovenia is one of the most wheelchair friendly destinations in Europe

Over the last decade Slovenia has made a lot of progress in improving the accessibility for wheelchair users and by doing so becoming one of the top wheelchair holiday destinations in Europe.

The capital Ljubljana was given the Bronze Access Award in 2015 and Silver Access City award in 2018. City’s galleries and museums are wheelchair friendly and across the center of the town there are several toilettes for wheelchair users. Other Slovenian tourist destinations (Piran, Koper, Bled, Maribor) have also made improvements and made cities more accessible for wheelchair user.

On this link  you can check out our promotional video which shows Slovenia’s top tourist destinations (Planica, Vršič, Piran, Portorož, Lipica, Škocjan caves, Bled, Bohinj, Vogel, Ljubljana and Ljubljana castle), which are wheelchair friendly.
