Day trip to Julian Alps
Julian Alps are only an hour drive from Ljubljana and during our day trip we'll explore several tourist destinations there including Bled, Bohinj and Vogel mountain.
Velenje mine is the oldest and biggest one in Slovenia and is operating since the 19th century. Recently is has been made accessible for the wheelchair users. Second part of the trip we'll spend in the proximity of the city of Slovenske Konjice and we'll visit the Zlati grič wine cellar as the region is famous for its wines.
Styria was a region within the Habsburg empire. After the empire collapsed in 1918 one part of Styria stayed in Austria and another in Slovenia. On our trip we’ll be exploring this interesting historical region, famous for its wines, where regional identity is very important.
We will start our excursion of Slovenian Styria region with the visit of the city Velenje. Velenje is only one hour distant from Ljubljana. There the biggest mine in Slovenia is located and is operating since 1875. We are not joking, the mine is really fully accessible and wheelchair friendly! Like the adventure is not unique enough, after it is completed you’ll also get a miners snack, so you can get a complete picture of the eating habits of the people working in mines. In the afternoon we are heading towards another city in Styria, Slovenske Konjice. In the complete accessible Wine Cellar Zlati Grič (Golden Hill) we are going to taste some of the best wines from Slovenian Drava wine region and taste some of the local specialties. After the wine tasting we’ll be heading back to hotel.

“Hi Danijel, Thank you! It was great to meet the team, and we really enjoyed our tours and our interactions with you, Miha, and Urban. All the best, Shaina
“We are a group of 4 friends from Finland and spent a week in Slovenia: Bled, Portoroz and Ljubljana. 2 of us use electric wheelchairs so we booked all the transfers and one day tour from NoLimits Tours. Everything worked perfectly! Service was really good before we arrived and we got answers to our questions very quickly. Our driver was really good and spoke good English. The car was big enough for 2 electric wheelchairs. Daytour to Koper and Piran was excellent and our guide Danijel was very good. Everything really was 100 % accessible and I can truly recommend for everybody!
“All was very good - thank you! Looking forward to work togheter with you!
